This has left a post in my queue to write (namely, how Android is re-making the same mistakes that handhelds.org learned the hard way many years ago); we'll see if I ever get around to it.
It did. mjg59 made it, and we sent e-mail to students and said that we would hold OS anyway. I had to pick up mjg59 from his hotel (a 40 minute operation in the snow), because Dave just barely made it to campus in time. About 30 people showed up.
He held another talk at 1630 about Red Hat, Fedora, and contributing to Fedora in general, which was packed (standing room only by the end), and came downstairs to the cluster afterwards to observe it in use.
